Lewis Carroll’s Alice books play with language and meaning in ways that have entranced both child and adult readers since the books were published in the late 19th century.

This free display showcases a selection of illustrated versions of both Alice’s adventures in Wonderland and Through the looking glass. Items on display include some featuring Carroll’s own drawings, engravings by the renowned illustrator John Tenniel, and paper engineering extravaganzas in contemporary pop-up books.
