The State Library of Victoria's catalogues and indexes allow you to search for and locate items in the collection. To access some books and other materials you need to register as a Library user.
You can use the catalogues remotely via the web or by visiting the Library during open hours. You can also access other tools, such as information databases, eJournals, eBooks and links to other libraries' catalogues.
Online requesting will not be available between 5.30pm Wednesday 19 November and 10am Monday 24 November due to a catalogue upgrade. During this time you can request onsite items in person at the Reference Desk or by phoning 03 8664 7002. No new requests for items held in offsite storage can be made.
