Burke & Wills workshop

The hands-on Burke & Wills workshop helps students understand the Victorian Exploring Expedition of 1860 and develop an understanding of outback survival skills.

Students will have the opportunity to hear the story of Burke and Wills while viewing some of the original artifacts from this historic journey. Students will explore similarities and differences between original supplies for the Burke and Wills expedition and modern day exploration equipment. Students will use critical thinking skills as they collaborate, prioritise, question and reflect.

This popular interactive activity is a great introduction to the topic of exploration.
