The Future Australian Race: Redmond Barry vs Marcus Clarke

This new play is by State Library of Victoria 2003 Creative Fellows Sue Gore and Bill Garner.

It explores the relationship between Ned Kelly's hanging judge Redmond Barry and the bohemian writer of For the Term of his Natural Life, Marcus Clarke. The two face off among the books from opposite sides of a divide that still haunts Australia.

This Commonplace Theatre production stars Jim Daly and Luke Ryan and is directed by Peter Houghton.

Time: 5-24 May; Mon-Tues 6.30pm, Wed-Sat 7.30pm, matinee Thurs 1pm and Sat 2pm
