Christmas & New Year Services

The Library will operate as follows over the 2007-08 Christmas/New Year holiday period:

• Mon 24 December (Christmas Eve)   10am–6pm
• Tues 25 December (Christmas Day) Closed
• Wed 26 December–Tues 1 January   10am–6pm

Library services

During this period, the Library will provide basic information and copying services, and delivery of requested items from onsite storage.

Requests for offsite storage items

There will be no deliveries of materials from the offsite store during the holiday period. To use these materials over the holiday period, please request material in advance, as follows:

• Offsite heritage material - request by 3pm, Thursday 20 December
• Offsite newspapers – request by 5.30pm, Thursday 20 December
• Offsite books and serials – request by 5.30pm, Sunday 23 December.

Heritage collections appointments

The Library's Heritage collections, including Rare Printed, Manuscripts and Pictures, will not be open for appointments during this period.

Requests for Heritage collections items

There will be no deliveries of onsite or offsite materials from Heritage collections to the Heritage Collections Reading Room during this period. Requests to use heritage materials during this period must be made as follows:

• Offsite heritage material - request by 3pm, Thursday 20 December.
• Onsite heritage material - request by 3pm on Monday 24 December.

Cafe

The Library's cafe, Mr Tulk, will be closed from Saturday 22 December, re-opening on Wednesday 2 January.
