Conference Centre & Theatrette

The Library's modern, well-appointed conference centre offers a suite of facilities and venues catering for seminars, lectures, presentations, meetings and conferences.

Where is the Conference Centre & Theatrette?

Located on the northern side of the Library complex, the Conference Centre & Theatrette is entered via La Trobe Street. The exact location is clearly identified on the Library floor plan.

Facilities

The Centre includes seminar rooms that can be used as separate spaces or opened up to create one large space, and a lounge that is not only ideal for receptions, launches and cocktail parties but can also function as a 60-seat venue. The Centre also has a fully-appointed theatrette seating 210 people.

Available equipment

All the equipment needed to run a professional event is readily available, including:

  • overhead, datashow and slide projectors
  • mobile televisions and VCRs
  • electronic whiteboards
  • lapel microphones
  • CD/DVD players
  • lecterns
  • projector screens.

Hours of operation

The Conference Centre and Theatrette operate from 8am to 10pm, seven days a week.

Venue hire

Both the Conference Centre and Theatrette are available for hire throughout the year.
