Where is Journals & Magazines?

The entrance to Journals is found at the back of the Redmond Barry Reading Room. The exact location of this room is clearly identified on the Library floor plan.

Quiet room

This room is one of the Library’s designated quiet areas, reserved for silent work and study. Large worktables provide plenty of space for study and there is also casual seating space for those just wanting to read. Other facilities in the room include:

  • disability workstations with adaptive software
  • height-adjustable workstations
  • computer
  • wireless hotspot
  • laptop access points.

Popular magazines

The latest popular magazines are arranged on stands in front of the entrance to the Journals room.

This is located in the Redmond Barry Reading Room. Staff here can answer your questions, help you find what you need and provide assistance using equipment in the room.

Laser printers and photocopiers are also located in the Redmond Barry Reading Room.

Free wireless broadband access is available in Journals & Magazines for Library users with laptops or PDAs. Known as WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) or Wireless LAN, it allows you to connect to the internet without cables or wires. For more information see Using Wireless Services at the Library.
