Guide to Newspapers on Microfilm

The State Library of Victoria has a substantial collection of newspapers on microfilm. Microfilmed newspapers contain the complete content of the original newspapers and can be read and copied using machines available in the Newspaper Reading Room.

This guide lists the State Library of Victoria's holdings of microfilmed newspapers. It has been compiled by staff and is updated regularly as newly filmed newspapers are acquired.

How is this guide organised?

Newspapers are grouped under Australian state or territory and overseas country. They are then organised by location or place name within each of the Australian state or territory groups. Newspaper titles are listed alphabetically under their place or location name, or under the country for overseas newspapers.
