This selection of links to key websites provides easy access to a broad range of additional resources for research and study.
Australian War Memorial http://www.awm.gov.au/ This website has searchable online databases containing World War I records held by the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Databases include the Roll of Honour, the Commemorative Roll, Nominal Rolls and Honours and Awards as well as a Collections database of photographs, art, film, weapons and private records. The library database gives records of books, journals, maps and sheet music held at the Australian War Memorial.
Firstworldwar.com http://www.firstworldwar.com Well-illustrated website with sections on the origins of the First World War, battles, weapons, the air and sea wars, biographies, diaries, prose and poetry, propaganda posters, primary documents and maps. It includes feature articles and information on battlefield tours.
World War I Document Archive http://www.lib.byu.edu/~rdh/wwi/ This site includes primary documents, articles, analyses and historical opinion on diverse aspects of World War I. Documents include conventions, declarations of war, treaties and official papers, soldiers’ diaries and letters, medical and nursing documents, poetry, biographies and images. There are documents on who shot Baron von Richthofen, a German deserter’s war experiences, poetry by Bertolt Brecht and many special topics.

Each section contains links to other parts of the site.
