Electronic resources

The following items are a selection of electronic materials that are available for research and study when you visit the Library. Most of these items can be accessed at computer workstations throughout the Library. Staff at the information desks can help you locate these resources.

AUSPORT

A bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from published and unpublished material on all aspects of Australian sport. Source documents include journals, monographs, conference papers, government reports, theses, videotapes and audio cassettes. Subject coverage includes all aspects of Australian sport including administration, children, coaching, disabled, economics, facilities, history, medicine, nutrition, physiology, women and Olympic Games (Sydney 2000).

SPORT Discus
An international database provided by SIRC (Sport Information Resource Centre). It contains information on sports medicine, exercise physiology, biomechanics, psychology, training techniques, coaching, physical education, physical fitness, active living, recreation, history, facilities and equipment. The database includes both current literature from 1998 to the present and an archive of material from 1830-1997.
