Electronic resources
The following items are a selection of electronic materials that are available for research and study when you visit the Library. Most of these items can be accessed at computer workstations throughout the Library. Staff at the Information Centre information desk can help you locate these resources.
The State Library’s information database menu under Law and Government provides access to a number of electronic databases covering all areas of government. A large number of useful government sites are available on the Internet.
APAIS Australian Public Affairs 1978- Subject coverage includes current affairs, law, politics and social sciences, indexed entries include an abstract and some articles are full text. This is also available in print back to 1945.
Academic Search Premier Multi-disciplinary database, providing full text for nearly 4,600 full text journals, including politics, law and government. Provides access to Australian and overseas journal articles.
United Nations Documents Database (1992-) United Nations Optical Disk System provides full text of all United Nations documents from 1992, including resolutions, official records of meetings and parliamentary reports.
CaseBase Index of law cases and articles from law journals and includes an database of Legal abbreviations
MasterFILE Premier An international database providing full text for nearly 2,000 general periodicals and indexes another 2650 publications covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues and political and government topics.
ANZRefCentre Provides full text access to a wide range of Australian and New Zealand newspapers and some international newspapers, covering political, legal and government news reports.
