Electronic resources

The following items are a selection of electronic materials that are available for research and study when you visit the Library. Most of these items can be accessed at computer workstations throughout the Library. Staff at the information desk in the Information Centre can help you locate these resources.

AGIS plus text 1975-
Coverage is focussed on law, politics and social sciences.  Includes index and abstracts on journal articles on all aspects of Australian law , some full text articles.

CaseBase
Index of law cases and articles from law journals and includes an database of Legal abbreviations.

Australian Federal Police Digest   1991-
Australian Federal Police digest, an index of articles from selected Australian and overseas journals, conference papers and chapters of some books. Database covers police, law enforcement and criminal topics.

CINCH - Australian Criminology   1968-
Australian crime and criminal justice, database that indexes and abstracts articles from journals, books, conferences and unpublished material on crime and criminal justice.

APAIS  Australian Public Affairs – Full Text  1978-
Subject coverage includes current affairs, law, politics and social sciences, indexed entries include an abstract and some articles are full text.  This is also available in print back to 1945. 

Australian Case Citator
A keyword index to published law reports of cases since 1825.  Most of the Australian law reports are held either in the Redmond Barry Reading Room or can be searched for on the catalogue and ordered from storage.

Australian digest
An index of law reports.  It helps you find cases on specific areas of law, specific law reports and cases testing specific legislation.  It gives a short summary of cases.

Australian current law 
Database indexing and providing summaries of recent cases and changes to legislation.

Unreported cases
Full text database covering judgements from High Court, Federal Court and Supreme Courts of all Australian states.

Index to Legal Periodicals & Books
Indexes 850 United States, British, Australian and other overseas legal journals, law reviews, yearbooks, institutes, bar association publications, university publications, and government publications and monographs.

Academic Search Premier
Multi-disciplinary database, providing full text for nearly 4,600 full text journals, including politics, law and government.  Provides access to Australian and overseas journal articles.

Ledgendcom
Database of the Commonwealth migration act, regulations and related legislation including the procedures advice manuals .
