Electronic resources

The following items are a selection of electronic materials that are available for research and study when you visit the Library. Most of these items can be accessed at computer workstations throughout the Library. Staff at the information desks in the Library's reading rooms can help you locate these resources.

The Source

A guide by subject, author and illustrator, title and genre into children’s fiction, poetry and short stories from around the world with an emphasis on Australian books. Continuously updated, the database includes reference to over 14,000 books and 15,500 poems.

AustLit: Australian Literature Gateway

AustLit: Australian Literature Gateway provides authoritative information on hundreds of thousands of creative and critical Australian literature works relating to more than 67,000 Australian authors and literary organisations. Its coverage spans 1780 to the present day. This site provides biographical information about Australian authors, including children’s book authors and illustrators and lists of authors’ works and further reading.
