Partnerships & Collaboration
The State Library of Victoria works cooperatively with a range of libraries and other cultural institutions, the Victorian and Commonwealth governments, professional associations, and industry bodies to share resources, information and expertise.
The Library has formed important partnerships with key organisations to promote and advance the role of libraries in Australia and beyond.
The Library is an institutional member of key professional and industry bodies. Many Library staff are also members of these organisations and play leading roles in advancing the profession.
The State Library has played a major role in many outstanding national collaborative activities and research projects, and has also developed a number of Victoria-specific initiatives with the public library network.
