Technology Services

The Technology Services Division is responsible for the management and development services of public and corporate Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) across the Library and Vicnet.

The Division's ICT infrastructure and technical operations responsibilities include:

• desktop computing
• IP telephony, wireless, data centre and server management
• Service Desk support for the Library and Call Centre support for the Vicnet community
• management of technical infrastructure to support Vicnet ISP operations
• management of a storage area network for the containment of digital storage.

The Division's web and application development services include delivery of:

• enhanced interactive web functionality for all the Library's websites as part of the Library's project initiatives
• online collections via the Library catalogue
• enhanced services to the Vicnet community in web development and hosting
• technical maintenance and upgrades of the Library Management System
• management, integration and implementation of business processes for the Library's digital object management system (DOMS).
