Finance & Governance

The Finance and Governance Division is responsible for managing the Library’s financial and non-financial performance and ensuring that the Library's overall corporate and statutory obligations are met. In accordance with the Victorian Auditor-General’s Office directions, the division coordinates and prepares financial information for the Library Board of Victoria Annual Report.

The Division manages planning and budgeting activities, providing regular reporting to the Library Board of Victoria, the Executive, the Senior Management Team, Arts Victoria and the Department of Treasury & Finance.

It manages the Library’s risk-management framework, internal audit program and procurement, including tender processes and contract management. It oversees the records framework, including compliance with the Commonwealth's Freedom of Information Act 1982 and Privacy Act 1988.

It is also responsible for the Library’s venue hire activities and provides support to the operation of public spaces.
