Sherryl Garbutt was appointed to the Library Board of Victoria in September 2007.
From 1989 to 2006 Sherryl served five terms in the Victorian Parliament as Member for Greensborough, then Member for Bundoora. During that time she served in the Bracks Government as Minister for Environment and Conservation (1999-2002), Minister for Women’s Affairs (1999-2002), Minister for Community Services (2002-06) and Victoria’s first Minister for Children (2004-06).
Sherryl is a graduate of the University of Melbourne (BA, Dip Ed) and La Trobe University (B Ed). She has taught history and geography in secondary schools in Melbourne. |
