What Inspires Award–Winning Gardens?

London’s Chelsea Flower Show award–winning landscape designer Jim Fogarty will be talking about what inspires his outstanding garden designs next Wednesday at the State Library of Victoria.
Jim will be joined by fellow garden designer, Paul Bangay and ABC TV’s Gardening Australia’s John Patrick in a talk about gardening.
Landscape designer Jim Fogarty works for an Australian-based landscape design company, Jim Fogarty Design, and was part of the team that recently won the Best on Show Award at London’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Jim and four colleagues from Semken Landscaping were part of the team that won a gold medal in the Show Garden category for the ‘Ecover Chelsea Pensioners’ Garden’. The show garden also won the BBC Royal Horticultural Society People’s Award 2005.
The talk is part of the events program associated with the free exhibition, Gardenesque: A Celebration of Australian Gardening showing until 26 June in the Library’s Keith Murdoch Gallery.
