WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? To coincide with the SBS broadcast of 'Who Do You Think You Are?', the Library's Genealogy Centre has produced a new information guide, 'Family History Resources'. The guide provides a list of the key print and online family history resources available at the Library. And if you need some personal guidance, the Centre has scheduled a Finding Families: researching family history at SLV workshop for 5 March. The Centre offers a wide range of materials for family historians, so visit online or onsite now to find out who you are!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS INVITED Applications are being invited for the range of research Fellowships administered by the Library. These include the Creative Fellowships, the La Trobe Society Fellowship, the Georges Mora Fellowship, the Redmond Barry Fellowship and the inaugural Dr Joseph Brown AO Fellowship.

COMING EVENTS
THE MEDIEVAL IMAGINATION On 28 March the Library will open 'The Medieval Imagination: Illuminated manuscripts from Cambridge, Australia and New Zealand'. This landmark exhibition will feature over 90 manuscripts. These include an 8th-century Northumbrian Gospel Book from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and a 14th-century illuminated Apocalypse with over 90 illustrations from Trinity College, Cambridge.
Events include a major conference - Imagination, Books and Community in Medieval Europe - to be held in May, a music series, lecture series, medieval faire and school programs. Book now to secure accommodation packages through The Sebel Melbourne and Citigate Melbourne.

VICTORIANS ON VACATION FEBRUARY EVENTS Enjoy a host of (mostly free) 'Victorians on Vacation' events before this popular exhibition closes on 2 March. Trace the history of Victorian 19th-century seaside resorts on 7 February, hear about Tony Banda's classic holiday photographs on the 14th, join an Italian-language tour and talk on the 20th, watch a panel (including writer Joanna Murray-Smith and playwright Bill Garner) debate the merits of beach or bush holidays on the 21st, and on 26 February learn about the Jewish community's tradition of 'taking the waters' at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
If you can't make it to the Library, listen to the exhibition audio tour online. And don't forget to enter the Wish You Were Here! online photo competition - you might win a digital camera!

SUMMER READ VOTING CLOSES SOON! Have you voted for your favourite summer read yet? If not, you'd better hurry - voting closes on Friday 1 February, with great prizes up for grabs. The top five books will be announced at The Summer Read closing ceremony on 26 February. Book your ticket now - this free event will feature readings by Dorothy Porter and Adrian Hyland. DIGITAL AGE FORUMS SERIES Fire up your synapses at the Library's 2008 series of free forums on technology and information in the digital age. First up, on 5 February, is 'Engaging with social media in museums', which looks at a research project on the impact of social media like blogs and wikis on cultural information. On 26 February hear a panel of experts on 'Is anybody out there? Online social networking'.

RARE BOOK SUMMER SCHOOL Join rare book experts at this summer school at the Library and other venues from 11 to 15 February. Four five-day courses at a cost of $700 each will be offered. They cover lithography in the 19th century; the colonial book trade in Australia and Canada; the book in transition, 1750-1850; and book collecting.
