LISTEN UP

STEP BACK IN TIME
A new online initiative has brought two key Library collection items to life through the magic of 'immersive audio'. These soundscapes (with accompanying scripts) recreate the voices, stories and atmosphere of the events that lie behind Ned Kelly's 'Jerilderie Letter' and the painting 'Black Thursday', by William Strutt.

View these Library treasures and listen to the soundscapes:

Once again, regional Victorians have the chance to see key collection items up close through our Travelling Treasures program. The 2007 treasures highlight three pivotal moments in Australia’s history: European settlement and the First Fleet, the Eureka Rebellion, and the story of mateship and survival in prisoner of war camps during World War II.

The treasures will visit Cowes on 6 March, Korumburra on 7 March and Moe on 8 March.
