CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS
Are you planning to visit the Library during the Christmas holiday season? We will be open every day (including New Year's Day) except Christmas Day. Limited hours and services apply, however - check details before you come in.

GENIE INFO SHEETS NOW ONLINE
Two key information sheets for genealogists and family historians are now available online. 'Publishing your Family History' lists important information for anyone interested in self-publishing their family history. 'Library Ancestry Edition' provides detailed information about the subscription website of the same name.

MR TULK CHRISTMAS HOURS
The Library's cafe Mr Tulk will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. On Wednesday 27, Thursday 28 and Friday 29 December it will be open as normal. It will then close from Saturday 30 December to Monday 15 January, re-opening on Tuesday 16 January.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

YOUTH WEBSITE CELEBRATES
The Library’s Centre for Youth Literature is celebrating six months since the launch of its website, insideadog.com.au. And there’s much to celebrate! In its first six months there have been:
- 1000 book reviews
- 60,000 visits
- 3700 competition entries
- 7 amazing writers in residence.

NEW LIBRARY BOARD MEMBERS
Three new members have been appointed to the Library Board of Victoria, the Library's governing body. They are Robyn Annear, a writer, former Library Creative Fellow, historian and curator; Tom Bentley, Executive Director for Policy and Cabinet, Department of Premier and Cabinet, Victoria; and Professor Vijoleta Braach-Maksvytis, a scientist and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Innovation and Development at the University of Melbourne.
