TEENAGE READERS GET CONNECTED The Library’s Centre for Youth Literature has developed Australia’s first website for teenagers to share their enjoyment of books and reading. The site, www.insideadog.com.au, takes its name from a Groucho Marx quote - ‘Outside of a dog, a book is a man’s best friend. Inside a dog, it’s too dark to read.’
It features moderated discussions, reader-written book reviews, competitions, quizzes, give-aways, sample chapters, news and a regular writer-in-residence blog.
The website launches at 5pm, Friday 28 May 2006. Take a look - and encourage any teen readers you know to click in and explore too.
The project is supported by Copyright Agency Limited.
