**************************************** BENDIGO PETITION ON SHOW AT THE LIBRARY The historic Bendigo Petition is currently on display in the Library’s Cowen Gallery until 9 October. Measuring almost 13 metres in length, the Petition contains more than 5000 signatures of diggers on the goldfields near Bendigo. **************************************** FREE FAMILY HISTORY & GENEALOGY EVENT AT THE LIBRARY The Family History Feast is being held at the Library again in 2005. Presented by National Archives of Australia, Public Record Office Victoria, Registry of Births, Deaths & Marriages and State Library of Victoria, the program includes information sessions, presentations, a documentary screening and tour of the Library’s reading rooms. **************************************** LIBRARY OPENS TRIAL RETAIL OUTLET The Library has opened a small retail outlet to sell a range of books, catalogues, postcards and other Library merchandise for a limited trial.
