The 81st issue of the La Trobe Journal focuses on the idea of the 'medieval', to coincide with the State Library of Victoria's exhibition The Medieval Imagination. It features an extended version of Professor David McKitterick's 2008 Foxcroft Lecture.
This 40th anniversary issue focuses on the Library and its Journal, Charles Joseph La Trobe and the history of Melbourne. It includes articles by Keith Dunstan on researching in the the Library and John Barnes on the La Trobe family in Van Diemen's Land.
