2017: Natalie Wallis and Anthony Mockler

App: My Victorian story – A hyper-personal timeline of Victoria, made by State Library Victoria and you

Natalie and Anthony's project used GEDCOM format to enable users to create a hyper-personalised timeline of the history of Victoria, combined with their own family history.

My Victorian story is a web application that collects basic biographical and genealogical data from the user via a web form. The result is an interactive HTML5 timeline that intersperses the history of Victoria, family connections, personal content and images from the Library's collection.

Natalie Wallis and Anthony Mockler are professional web and application developers and designers. They are pioneers of the open data movement and have worked in industry and in government. Winners of three Govhack and many design awards, Natalie and Anthony have worked as independent contractors in design teams, advertising agencies and in-house design departments.
